Theatre for Workplace Change

What is Theatre for Workplace Change?

Theater for Workplace Change (TWC), a division of KJR & Associates, is the culmination of over 40 years of business expertise across various industries, 23 years of pioneering improvisational acting for Leadership Development, and the unparalleled impact that only professional actors can deliver.

TWC is where innovation meets experience, transforming training environments with programming that is over 80% theatrically based and 100% impactful. Our groundbreaking approach, Theatrical Dynamic Delivery©, pushes the boundaries of traditional training by recreating real workplace scenarios with professional actors, fostering a safe and supportive space for addressing and resolving complex issues.

Our unique methodology draws on decades of expertise in teaching, managing, leading, coaching, OD consulting, and acting to create dramatizations that resonate deeply with your organization. By bringing these scenarios to life on stage, we enable your employees to experience the transformative power of respectful, empathetic, and effective problem-solving.

The roots of Theater for Workplace Change can be traced back to Augusto Boal's influential work in Brazil during the mid-sixties through the seventies and beyond. Inspired by Paulo Freire's "Pedagogy of the Oppressed," Boal synthesized traditional acting approaches with interactive techniques to create the Theater of the Oppressed. This movement emphasized dialogue and interaction between audience and performer, empowering oppressed populations to address and resolve inequities.

Today, we build on Boal's legacy, using theater as a medium for social change and applying it to the workplace. Through Theatrical Dynamic Delivery©, we create an environment where both minds and hearts can be profoundly transformed, leading to lasting positive change in your organization.

In theatre there is magic. In magic, there is change
